Penang is a wonderful place in Peninsular Malaysia. Penang is also was known as Pearl of Orient. Once upon a time, Sir Francis Light, one of the Residents of British was the founder of Penang as the strategic place and also had named it as Prince of Wales Island before Malaysian known as independence country. Before this, I just heard from my friends that Penang Island is an interesting place. Therefore, I want to see with my own eyes. I went there with my friends for two days last month.
One of the most tourist attractions in Penang is Penang Bridge. We can see that it is the longest bridge in Asia county. Then, we continued our journey to Penang Hill. Penang Hill is the most popular with the funicular railway. I was so excited to try the funicular railway because I never tried it. As the saying goes, you never know until you have tried. ABOUT SABAH
Growing up in Peninsular of Malaysia makes my heart really excited to travel in East Malaysia especially in Sabah because of their beautiful nature and also culture. In December 2016, I decided to go to Sabah with my crazy best friend, Najihah because we share the same hobby which is travel and food hunting. By reasons of laziness to manage our own trip, we decide to join a package tour by travel agency. For this trip, we spent 3 days and 2 nights at east of Sabah. So our first destination in Sabah is Kota Kinabalu, we arrived there at dawn of the day due to our flight delay about 30 minutes at KLIA. We were pretty excited to finally make our way to yet another Malaysian state. On our first day in Kota Kinabalu, we got our late breakfast at the most best halal restaurant which located at the center of Kota Kinabalu city. Najihah and I extremely excited to have our Kadazan Dusun cuisine for the first time which is a complete ambuyat set with condiments, hinava, sambal, bamboo shoot, soup and basing fish and also chilipadi with lime, bambangan and tuhau as the essential condiments. Our journey continued with a visit to the Filipino Market right in the middle of the city, whereby facing the sea. Filipino Market is one of the most famous destinations and it is widely known for being the best place to get souvenirs and traditional food. Najihah and I got hysterical when we entering one of the stall with a lot of beautiful pearl bracelets, key chains and also shining brooches. We bought various type of souvenirs to give our beloved family and friends. We end our day with having our dinner at one of the food stall near the market by eating their famous seafood. Every stall have different aroma and tastes of food that will make you fall in love with their cooking style such as grilled crabs, prawns, barbequed squid, sting rays, local dessert like terang bulan, murtabaks and so on.What famous about Sabah? Of course their Mount Kinabalu at Kundasang. The best part of our journey is going to Desa Dairy Farm located at foothill of Mount Kinabalu. Desa Dairy Farm really look like New Zealand due to their cow and also their cold temperature. We took a lot of picture together with a beautiful scenery and backdrop. We also do some activities such as feeding the calves with bottle milk, feeding goat with grass and many more. This trip is definitely one of the best travel with my best friend by joining the package tour together and also the memories in Sabah was one of the best moment in vacation’s experience of Malaysia.
